The Difference Between the Call of the Muslim Brotherhood and the Group of Supporters of the Sunnah
Machine translationRead the Arabic original
This is a message received by the program from our brother Bukhary Ahmad al-Amin from Sudan. He says in his message: I want you to inform me with knowledge about the call of the Muslim Brotherhood, and is there a difference between their call and the call of the Group of Supporters of the Sunnah? Please inform us, may Allah reward you?
Answer: The Muslim Brotherhood and the Supporters of the Sunnah are both callers to Allah, and we hope for good for both of them. However, the Supporters of the Sunnah, as far as we know, are more active than them in clarifying the oneness of Allah and explaining the reality of associating partners with Allah, and they pay more attention to this matter. Therefore, they are known in Egypt and in Sudan for their attention to clarifying the oneness of Allah and warning against associating partners with Allah, clinging to the dead, and calling for aid from the people of the graves.
As for the Muslim Brotherhood, they do not have a clear activity in clarifying the oneness of Allah and explaining the creed of the people of the Sunnah and the community. Rather, their call is general to Islam, and this is not sufficient. Indeed, it is obligatory for the Muslim Brotherhood and for other callers to Allah that their activity be detailed, and that they pay attention to the correct creed, and that they clarify it to the people, so that the one who claims Islam may move from the creed of disbelief to the correct creed. For it is possible that one claims Islam, speaks of it, and prays with the people, yet at the same time he worships the dead and calls for aid from al-Badawi or al-Husayn or Shaykh Abdul Qadir or so-and-so, and asks them for support and rescue when he passes by their graves. This is major shirk, and we seek refuge in Allah from that. It is also possible that they have a method from the methods of the Sufis that is evil. Therefore, the obligatory thing is clarification and explanation.
So the Supporters of the Sunnah are more active and more complete in the call in this regard, and stronger in this matter. The Muslim Brotherhood are praised for their activity in the general Islamic call, and it is hoped for them for more success. However, what is taken against them, as far as I have heard and as far as I know, is their lack of attention to detail in what concerns the creed and in what concerns the religious innovations that some people practice.
Therefore, it is obligatory for them to change their conduct, and to strive to clarify the correct creed, and to call to the oneness of Allah and sincerity to Him, and to warn against calling the dead and seeking aid from them, and that it is shirk and disbelief, and to clarify also the evil, blameworthy Sufi methods that are in their lands. And it is obligatory for all people to follow the path of the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) and to proceed according to his conduct, and to beware of the misguided paths that contradict his conduct (peace and blessings be upon him), even if the one who does it is among the great ones. For the criterion is the truth, not the people. The criterion is the truth that the Chosen One (peace and blessings be upon him) brought and upon which his satisfied Companions proceeded, even if they were weak and even if they were poor. There is no criterion for the one who contradicts the truth, even if he is among the great ones, the leaders, the eminent ones, and the rich. No, it is not permissible to look at this. Rather, it is permissible to look at the deed, the reality, and the creed. So the people of correct creeds are encouraged and supplicated for with success, and they are energized to remain firm on what they are upon. And the people of deviant creeds are called to the truth, even if they are great; one does not feel shy of them nor does one make concessions to them. They are called to the truth, and it is clarified to them what they are in of error in the creed or in the morals or in the religious innovations that they support. This is the obligatory thing for the Supporters of the Sunnah, and for the Muslim Brotherhood, and for all callers to Allah, Glorified and Exalted is He. It is obligatory for them to advise Allah and His servants, and to clarify the correct creed, and to explain the reality of the oneness of Allah to which the messengers called (peace and blessings be upon them), and to warn against the shirk that the messengers denied and warned against, and not to make concessions to the people in this matter, and not to let their concern be the number of people. No, the important thing is the presence of the truth, even if they are few. The important thing is that the call be pure and clean, and that its people be upright upon the truth and firm upon it, even if they are few. For the few with truthfulness and sincerity are much more beneficial than the many with weakness and ignorance and little insight, or little truthfulness and sincerity. And there is no power and no strength except by Allah. Yes.
