The ruling on one who used to leave off prayer out of ignorance and then repented

He also asks and says: I reached the age of puberty, meaning the emission of fluid, when I was thirteen years old, and I did not pray or fast until I was fifteen, and that was due to my ignorance. Do I have to make up the prayers and fasts for these past two years or not?
Answer: If a person reached puberty at thirteen by the emission of semen, and then left off prayer and fasting out of ignorance, he owes no make-up; because leaving off prayer is disbelief, and you must repent to Allah (Glorified and Exalted is He). Leaving off prayer by an adult is major shirk according to the most precise scholars, and it is the consensus of the Companions (may Allah be pleased with them). This is indicated by the saying of the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him):Sunan Ibn Majah 1079Sahih (Darussalam) This is an authentic hadith narrated by Imam Ahmad and the people of the Sunan with a sound chain from Buraydah (may Allah be pleased with him). Likewise, his saying (peace and blessings be upon him): Muslim narrated it in his Sahih from Jabir (may Allah be pleased with him). So repentance is sufficient; whenever you repent to Allah with a sincere repentance, it is enough, and you owe no make-up, neither fasting nor prayer; because an apostate does not make up missed acts, and one who leaves off prayer is considered an apostate in the most correct of the scholars' opinions. So he must repent to Allah anew and does not make up anything, but he starts his affairs anew with sincere repentance and striving in righteous deeds. We ask Allah to keep us and you firm upon the correct repentance.
