The ruling on desecrating tapes containing the words of Allah

Machine translationRead the Arabic original
The question: He has a third question in the same letter, asking: What is the ruling on throwing away tapes on which surahs from the Qur'an or hadiths from the hadiths of the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) are recorded, or something from the words of the scholars, by throwing them into filthy places and swamps?
The answer: It is not permissible to throw them into filthy places and swamps; because they contain this good, so it is not permissible to throw them away. Furthermore, they are property, and it is not permissible to waste them. Rather, if he does not want what is on them, he can record something else on them that he can benefit from, or give them to some of his brothers so they can benefit from them. As for if what is on them is only evil, such as forbidden songs or something forbidden, there is no harm in discarding them and destroying them. Yes.
The presenter: May Allah reward you.
