Depicting the Mushaf on tapes and the like
Machine translationRead the Arabic original
Q: In Islamic recordings, there are cassette tapes on which the Noble Qur'an has been recorded. Many recording companies have become accustomed to depicting the Mushaf on the tape cover, showing it open with verses of the Noble Qur'an visible on it. Since, after the tape is removed from the cover, the cover is exposed to desecration by being thrown in places that do not befit the sanctity of the Book of Allah, is this action permissible or not? May Allah guide you and assist you.
A: It is obligatory for the Muslim to respect the Noble Qur'an and not to use images of the Mushaf in marketing tapes or advertising for their stores, because this exposes it to desecration. Many people have become accustomed to throwing the tape cover in the nearest place when removing the tape, without being aware of the great status of the Noble Qur'an, about which Allah said:[Fussilat 41:41-42], and He also said about it: [Al-Waqi'ah 56:77-79].

And indeed, it is a mighty Book. (42) Falsehood cannot approach it from before it or from behind it; [it is] a revelation from a [Lord who is] Wise and Praiseworthy.
(77) Indeed, it is a noble Qur'an (78) In a Register well-protected; (79) None touch it except the purified.
