Machine translationRead the Arabic original
A listener from the Arab Republic of Egypt sent a message containing an issue. This listener is (A. A. S. Abdul Karim). His issue is summarized in the following questions, if you would be so kind, O Shaykh:
First: What is the ruling on taking an omen from one’s wife?
Answer: It is established from the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) that he said:Sahih al-Bukhari 5753, and in another wording: Riyad as-Salihin 1675 then he mentioned them. If he sees from his wife something that harms him and it becomes frequent, or from his mount, whether it is his horse, his camel, his donkey, or something similar, that annoys him and becomes frequent and goes beyond the norm, or in the house he resides in, he sees in it something that annoys and harms him and it continues, then there is no harm in moving from the house, parting with the mount, or parting with the wife, due to his saying (peace and blessings be upon him): Sahih al-Bukhari 5753, and in a wording: , the horse is among the mounts.
There is no blame in this, and there is no harm in divorcing the woman with whom he experienced much harm, or selling the mount with which he experienced much harm or giving it to someone, and likewise the house, he may sell it or rent another if it is for rent. All of this is without blame due to the aforementioned hadith. Yes.
The presenter: May Allah reward you with good.
