A64: Taking an omen as a bad sign is not permissible, whether by times, people, or places; because it is from taking an omen as a bad sign, and from having a bad opinion of Allah (Mighty and Majestic). And the Muslim should take a good omen with good, and not take an omen as a bad sign, and he should accustom himself to that.

The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) mentioned that Allah (Exalted and Majestic is He) says:Sunan Abi Dawud 5274Sahih (Al-Albani) So it is not permissible to take an omen as a bad sign by time, or to insult the age, or what is similar to that.
