Another question is asked, which says: Is it permissible to shake hands with women, such as the wife of one's maternal uncle, the wife of one's paternal cousin, the wife of one's brother, or the like?
Answer: Shaking hands with women who are not mahram is not permissible. The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said:Sunan Ibn Majah 2874Sahih (Darussalam), and Aisha (may Allah be pleased with her) said: . So the Messenger (peace and blessings be upon him) did not shake hands with women. During the pledge of allegiance, he did not extend his hand to them; rather, he pledged with them by speech, saying: "I pledge you to do such and such, that you worship Allah, and so on." He pledged with her to the oneness of Allah and following the Messenger (peace and blessings be upon him), as mentioned at the end of Surat al-Mumtahanah.
And he (peace and blessings be upon him) did not shake hands with them. Also, because there is danger in shaking hands, some scholars have said that it is more harmful than looking and more dangerous than looking, due to the pleasure and fitnah (trial) in touching. Except if she is a mahram to him, such as his sister or his aunt, then there is no harm. As for the wife of his brother, or the wife of his paternal uncle, or the wife of his brother's son, or the wife of his maternal aunt, all of these are not mahram to him, but rather strangers. So he has no seclusion with any of them, he has no looking at them, and he has no shaking hands with them.
As for the wife of his father, there is no harm. The wife of his son, the son of his son, the wife of his grandfather, there is no harm; these are mahram. The wife of, meaning: his sons or the sons of his sons, or the sons of his daughters, are mahram. And likewise, the wives of his father and his grandfathers are mahram. Because Allah (Glorified and Exalted is He) says: [al-Nisa: 22], and He says (Glorified and Exalted is He) regarding the prohibited ones: [al-Nisa: 23], meaning: excluding the adopted ones, beware of the adopted ones. Because the Arabs used to adopt some people; the Arabs used to adopt some men and some girls, saying: "This is my son," and they would raise him and attribute him to themselves, and they would call the adopted son "the son by adoption." As the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) adopted Zayd ibn Harithah, and he was called Zayd ibn Muhammad. So when Allah revealed: [al-Ahzab: 5], he was called by his father, Zayd ibn Harithah. So likewise, no one should adopt anyone, but rather everyone should be called by his father.
So His saying: [al-Nisa: 23], the scholars of tafsir (exegesis) mentioned: that it is a warning against the adopted ones. As for his son through breastfeeding, he is like a son by blood. So the wife of his son through breastfeeding is a mahram, like his son by blood. And likewise, his father through breastfeeding, his wife is a mahram, like his father by blood. Due to his saying (peace and blessings be upon him): Sahih Muslim 1445i. Yes.

Answer: Shaking hands with women who are not mahram is not permissible. The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said:
But I do not shake hands with women.
إني لا أصافح النساءBy Allah, the hand of the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) never touched the hand of a woman, ever; he only took their pledge of allegiance by speech.
والله ما مست يد رسول الله يد امرأة قط ما كان يبايعهن إلا بالكلامAnd he (peace and blessings be upon him) did not shake hands with them. وَلا تَنكِحُوا مَا نَكَحَ آبَاؤُكُمْ مِنَ النِّسَاءِthe wives of your sons who are from your [own] loins
وَحَلائِلُ أَبْنَائِكُمُ الَّذِينَ مِنْ أَصْلابِكُمْCall them by their fathers’ names
ادْعُوهُمْ لِآبَائِهِمْSo His saying:
