Ruling on Combining Two Prayers in the Rain

Machine translationRead the Arabic original
Question:
On one occasion, we were with a group of people, and it started to rain. It was the time for the Maghrib prayer. After we prayed Maghrib, one of them said, "Establish the Isha prayer." So we combined Isha with Maghrib. I did not know anything about that. When I asked him, he said, "The Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said:
When good descends, combineإذا نزل خير فاجمعوا
" I do not remember the exact wording of the hadith. Is our prayer valid? And was this reported from the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him)?
Please inform us. May Allah reward you with good.

Answer:
Combining prayers in the rain and in illness is prescribed, and it is one of the dispensations that Islam brought.
As for the hadith that the person mentioned to you,
When good descends, combineإذا نزل خير فاجمعوا
we do not know of any basis for it, and it is not known in the Sunnah from the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him). However, it is from the practice of the Salaf; the practice of the righteous Salaf was to combine prayers in the rain. Likewise, the hadith indicates this, as Ibn Abbas (may Allah be pleased with them both) said: "The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) combined Maghrib and Isha, and Zuhr and Asr, without fear, rain, or travel." This indicates that combining for rain is a known matter, just as combining for travel is a known matter.
So if there is rain that is difficult for people, or if the markets are slippery and difficult for people, combining is prescribed from the perspective of making things easy for Muslims and facilitating for them, and accepting the dispensations of Allah (Glorified and Exalted is He). He (peace and blessings be upon him) said:
Allah the Most High loves that His permissions be practiced, just as he dislikes that disobedience to Him be committed.إن الله يحب أن تؤتى رخصه كما يكره أن تؤتى معصيته
Bulugh al-Maram 2:341
.
Likewise, the sick person combines to remove hardship. Yes.

The presenter: May Allah reward you with good.
