Ruling on going to the mosque for one who has eaten garlic or onions

Machine translationRead the Arabic original
Question:
In the second question of this questioner, she says: What is the ruling on one who frequently eats garlic because of his desire for it and his love of it? Does he go to the mosque to pray there, or is it sufficient for him to pray at home, and does he use that as an excuse?

Answer:
One who eats garlic, onions, or leeks is not permitted to go to the mosque; because he harms people with it, and the Prophet forbade that, and he (peace and blessings be upon him) said:
Whoever eats garlic or onions, let him keep away from us, let him keep away from our mosque, and let him sit in his houseمن أكل ثومًا أو بصلًا فليعتزلنا، وليعتزل مسجدنا، وليقعد في بيته
As-Sunan al-Kubra lil-Nasa'i 47:81
It is also established from him (peace and blessings be upon him) that he ordered the removal of one who consumes these things from the mosque, and he said:
for the angels are harmed by the same things as the children of Adam.إن الملائكة تتأذى مما يتأذى منه بنو آدم
Sahih Muslim 564c
.
So it is not permissible for the Muslim who consumes leeks, garlic, or onions to pray with the Muslims; because he harms them with it, and if there is no need for that, let him leave it so that he does not deprive himself of praying with the Muslims.
As for if there is a need for it due to hunger or illness, there is no blame on him, but if he makes it a habit as a desire, what he should do is leave it so that he does not deprive himself of his prayer with the Muslims, yes.
And if he intends by that to miss the congregation, using this as a ruse to leave the congregation, then this is reprehensible, and it is not permissible, we ask Allah for safety, yes.

The presenter: May Allah reward you.
