The Ruling on Divorcing a Pregnant Woman

Machine translationRead the Arabic original
Question:
What are the conditions for divorcing a pregnant woman?

Answer:
Divorcing a pregnant woman is prescribed, and there is nothing wrong with it, but it must be a single pronouncement; because the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said to Ibn 'Umar:
divorce her while she is pure or pregnantطلقها طاهرًا أو حاملًا
Jami` at-Tirmidhi 1176Sahih (Darussalam)
Some of the common people think that divorcing a pregnant woman is not valid, and this is an error; it is merely the opinion of the common people.
As for divorcing a pregnant woman according to the scholars, there is nothing wrong with it. It is established in the authentic hadith from Ibn 'Umar (may Allah be pleased with them both) that the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said to him:
divorce her while she is pure or pregnantطلقها طاهرًا أو حاملًا
Jami` at-Tirmidhi 1176Sahih (Darussalam)
