What is required of the ma'mum if he forgets a pillar or an obligatory act?

Machine translationRead the Arabic original
Question:
His final question says: If I forget a pillar, or an obligatory act, while following the imam, what should I do? Do I repeat the prayer, or is the prostration for forgetfulness obligatory upon me?

Answer:
If the one praying as a ma'mum forgets one of the obligatory acts of the prayer, it is dropped from him, for example: if he forgets to say: Glory be to my Lord, the Most High, in prostration, or if he forgets to say: Glory be to my Lord, the Most Great, in bowing, or if he forgets the takbir when going down into bowing, or when going down into prostration, or when rising from prostration, then this is dropped from him, and he owes nothing; because he is a follower of the imam. Likewise, if he forgets the first tashahhud, he is occupied and does not perform it, and he stands up with the imam when the imam stands, and he does not perform the first tashahhud because he forgot; then he owes nothing, the imam bears it for him.
As for the pillars—and they are the great obligatory acts—they are necessary, so if he forgets them, he performs them. If he forgets them, he performs them, then he catches up with his imam. So if he is negligent about bowing, and the imam says takbir while bowing, then the imam rises and he becomes aware, then he bows, then he rises, and he follows the imam. Likewise, if he forgets the first prostration, and the imam prostrates, then the imam rises, and the ma'mum becomes aware, and the imam has already risen from the first prostration, then he prostrates, then he rises, then he catches up with the imam in the second prostration.
The point is: that the pillars—and they are the emphasized obligatory acts—are not dropped from the ma'mum due to forgetfulness, rather he performs them and follows his imam. Yes.
