Advice for the one whose shyness prevents him from meeting people
Machine translationRead the Arabic original
Question:
The distressed listener, as he described himself (M. S. H. N.), from the Turbah region, sent a message saying: I have a problem, which is shyness around people. I am unable to sit with them, and I am unable to meet them in the slightest way. I am living in a terrible state. I ask you to guide me.
I would like to mention that I pray, I call upon Allah a lot, and I am eighteen years old.
Answer:
You must—may Allah bless you—ask Allah to remove these illusions, these delusions, and this shyness from your heart. Ask your Lord to remove this from your heart, and strive to sit with your colleagues, with the brothers, and with your family. Whatever is in this, it is all from Shaytan. This shyness is from Shaytan. So you say: I seek refuge in Allah from the accursed Shaytan. And you resolve in your heart to sit with people, to talk with colleagues, and with family and relatives, until this is removed. In the mosques, in the circles of knowledge, at home, in visiting your brothers. Strive against your self; because this is not befitting for a man. Rather, this is from Shaytan. You should strive against your self, and ask Allah (Exalted and Majestic is He) to help you with that, and to remove from your heart these illusions, and this shyness which has no basis. And be glad of good, for when you are sincere, Allah will make your affairs easy.
The presenter: May Allah reward you with good.
