The Marriage of Uthman ibn 'Affan to the Two Daughters of the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him)

Machine translationRead the Arabic original
Question:
Did Uthman ibn 'Affan (may Allah be pleased with him) marry the two daughters of the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) at the same time, and is this permissible?

Answer:
Yes, he married Ruqayyah and Umm Kulthum, and both of them died during his time. He married Umm Kulthum after Ruqayyah; Ruqayyah died on the day of Badr, then he married Umm Kulthum, and then she died. Both of them died during the lifetime of the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him), and they were both wives of Uthman (may Allah be pleased with him). Zaynab was taken by Abu al-'As ibn al-Rabi', and Fatimah was with 'Ali. Four, four of them (may Allah be pleased with them all) died during the lifetime of the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him), except for Fatimah, who died six months after him (may Allah be pleased with her).

The presenter: May Allah reward you, O honorable Shaykh, and may Allah bless you and your knowledge and benefit the Muslims through you.
