Question:
After this, we move on to a letter received by the program from one of the female listeners. She says: The sender is Aisha Jabir. Our sister has a collection of questions, and in one of them she says: It was reported from the Messenger (peace and blessings be upon him):
No one prostrates to Allah but Allah will raise him one degree in status thereby and will erase one of his sins.ما من عبدٍ يسجد لله سجدة، إلا رفعه بها درجة، وحط بها عنه خطيئة
Sunan Ibn Majah 1423Sahih (Darussalam)
Is the intended meaning of the prostration here: the entire unit of prayer? Or what is the intended meaning? May Allah reward you with good.

Answer:
The well-known prostration. For this reason, the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) guided to this, and he clarified this:
No one prostrates to Allah but Allah will raise him one degree in status thereby and will erase one of his sins.ما من عبدٍ يسجد لله سجدة، إلا رفعه بها درجة، وحط عنه بها خطيئة
Sunan Ibn Majah 1423Sahih (Darussalam)
So the intended meaning is the well-known prostration, which is placing the forehead and nose on the ground, in prayer. And the term prostration is applied to prayers, as in the hadith of Rabi'ah ibn Ka'b al-Aslami, when he said: O Messenger of Allah! I ask you to be my companion in Paradise? He said:
Or something else?أو غير ذلك
? He said: I ask you for nothing but that. He said:
help me to achieve this for you by devoting yourself often to prostrationأعني على نفسك بكثرة السجود
Sahih Muslim 489
meaning: by frequenting prayer. Yes.

The presenter: May Allah reward you with good.
