He prostrated once in the last rak'ah, and when he remembered, he prostrated the prostration for forgetfulness

Machine translationRead the Arabic original
The fourth question of the fatwa number ( 16370 )
Q4: What is the ruling for one who prostrated once in the last rak'ah of the four-rak'ah prayer and concluded the prayer with that, and after the taslim the praying people reminded him, so he prostrated once for forgetfulness and said: it compensates for the deficiency, and he did not prostrate two prostrations for forgetfulness, so is the prayer valid or not?
A4: If one forgets a prostration from the last rak'ah of the prayer and learns of it after the taslim, then if the interval is not long, he returns, prostrates, recites the final tashahhud, and says the taslim, then he prostrates two prostrations for forgetfulness after the taslim, and if he prostrates them before the taslim, there is no harm. However, if the interval is long, he must repeat the prayer from the beginning. Based on this, the prayer mentioned is not valid because he did not do what was mentioned, so it is obligatory for him to repeat it, as it is obligatory for the congregation who prayed with him that prayer.
And success is from Allah, and may Allah send prayers and blessings upon our Prophet Muhammad, his family, and his Companions.
