Ruling on Reciting the Qur'an to Facilitate Childbirth

Machine translationRead the Arabic original
Question:
He says: When a woman is in labor, is it permissible for us to recite the Qur'an with the intention of facilitating the birth? And are there specific verses recited to ease the labor?

Answer:
I do not know of anything specific regarding this, but if it is recited for her, that is good. Allah has made the Qur'an a healing. If her labor becomes difficult and it is recited for her in water, or if her father or her brother or someone like that recites it for her, or if it is recited in water for her to drink, or if she is sprinkled with it, all of this may benefit her through Allah (Exalted and Majestic is He). Allah has made the Qur'an a healing, and likewise, good supplications are among the causes of healing. Yes.

The presenter: May Allah reward you, O Shaykh.
