Ruling on eating wild animals with claws and fangs

Machine translationRead the Arabic original
Question:
Your Eminence is asked, and he says: Wild animals with claws and fangs, is their meat forbidden? Or is it lawful? And what is the evidence for that?

Answer:
All predators are forbidden. Predators are those that catch with their claws—talons—from among the birds, such as the eagle, the falcon, and the goshawk; these are forbidden. Likewise, predators that tear with their fangs, such as dogs, cats, wolves, lions, and tigers, are all forbidden; except for the hyena specifically, which is an exception. The hyena is game; the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) exempted it.
Ibn Abbas says, "The Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) forbade every bird with a talon and every predator with a fang." And he (peace and blessings be upon him) said:
The eating of all fanged beasts of prey is unlawful.كل ذي ناب من السباع فأكله حرام
Sahih Muslim 1933a
So all predators that tear are forbidden, whether they are dogs, wolves, foxes, cats, or otherwise. Likewise, birds that catch with their talons, hunting with their talons, such as the eagle, the falcon, the hawk, and the like, are all forbidden. Yes.

The presenter: May Allah reward you with good.
