The ruling on selling during the Friday adhan and other times

Machine translationRead the Arabic original
Question:
Is selling forbidden during the adhan and after it? What is the situation on Friday? Is selling forbidden after the first or second adhan?
May Allah reward you with good.

Answer:
Selling is forbidden after the first adhan on Friday; because Allah said:
O you who have believed, when [the adhan] is called for the prayer on the day of Jumu'ah [Friday], then proceed to the remembrance of Allahيَا أَيُّهَا الَّذِينَ آمَنُوا إِذَا نُودِيَ لِلصَّلاةِ مِنْ يَوْمِ الْجُمُعَةِ فَاسْعَوْا إِلَى ذِكْرِ اللَّهِ
[Al-Jumu'ah:9] Therefore, selling and buying, leasing, and other such transactions are not permissible. Rather, one must devote oneself to worship and hasten to the Friday prayer, without being occupied with anything else.
As for the other times, they may be likened to Friday, or they may not. The safest course for him is to do nothing after the adhan, whether for Dhuhr, Asr, or Maghrib; because it may occupy him and prevent him from joining the congregation. So the safest course for him is to avoid that, unless it is a trivial matter that does not occupy him, in which case there is no blame on him; because the text from Allah (Exalted and Majestic is He) regarding this is only in the Friday prayer; because its matter is great, its attendance is obligatory, and it is missed if its time passes, so its matter is greater, and it is the weekly obligation.
So the point is: Friday is not to be compared to other times. However, if he fears this matter and stays away from it, so that it does not occupy him from the congregation, that is better. In any case, if his selling may occupy him from performing the prayer in congregation, it is forbidden. But sometimes the prayer is delayed, such as if the imam is delayed, and a person can, on his way, buy an item and sell it, so his attendance at the prayer may not be harmed. In any case, his staying away from this matter... regarding what came in the Friday ruling, this is safer, so that... Friday is observed with caution, yes.
