The questioner : I would like to ask you about the period between the cessation of blood in a woman's menstruation and the discharge of the substance. What is the ruling on that period? Do I consider it like the previous days of menstruation regarding prayer and fasting, or not?

The Shaykh : You return to your previous question. If this duration is not part of menstruation, then it is irregular non-menstrual bleeding. If that is the case, the woman in this situation should pray and fast, and do everything. However, if she was ignorant and such a duration passed while she did not pray and did not fast, Allah has forgiven what has passed. It is obligatory for her, from the moment she hears the legal ruling, not to leave off prayer after she has become pure from her menstruation, because the blood that comes after the end of menstruation is blood of irregular non-menstrual bleeding, not blood of menstruation.
