Reading a research paper on menstrual blood with the Shaykh’s commentary on it

Machine translationRead the Arabic original
The Shaykh : Yes.
The student: In the name of Allah, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful.
Praise be to Allah, Lord of the worlds, and may peace and blessings be upon the noblest of the prophets and messengers, our Prophet Muhammad (peace and blessings be upon him), and upon his family, his Companions, and those who follow them with excellence until the Day of Judgment.
As for what follows: May Allah bless you, O honorable Shaykh. Peace be upon you, and Allah’s mercy and blessings.

The Shaykh : And upon you be peace, and Allah's mercy and blessings.
The student: "I have reviewed the topic of menstrual blood in the references available to me, and it became clear to me that menstrual blood exits the uterus as a seepage, not as a flow like blood that bleeds from the veins. When it reaches the uterine cavity, it coagulates, meaning it clots. However, the uterus during menstruation secretes a substance that dissolves these clotted masses, causing it to become liquid again after the clotting factors are consumed... This prevents it from coagulating a second time when it exits the uterus. However, this substance that dissolves the clotted blood may not be strong enough to completely dissolve the clotted masses, especially if the masses are numerous, which causes the liquid menstrual blood to contain small clotted parts, which may be numerous, especially if the menstrual blood is heavy. The result is that menstrual blood consists of: first: coagulated blood that tends toward blackness; second: secretions from the mucous membrane lining the uterus and the cervix; third: parts decomposed by bacteria from the mucous membrane covering the uterus".
And this, may Allah know best...

The student: ...

The Shaykh : What?
The student: ...

The Shaykh : ...is it recorded with you, ... the cavity of the uterus, yes?
The student: "And this, may Allah know best, is what makes menstrual blood foul-smelling and thick. Fourth: ... but it contains small clotted masses, which may be large if the menstrual blood is heavy. Based on this, the doctors' statement that menstrual blood does not clot is based on the fact that it may have coagulated first in the uterine cavity and was dissolved completely or partially in the manner I explained earlier, so it does not clot a second time outside the uterus. This does not negate the existence of some clotted parts that were not removed. If that is the case, then it does not contradict the saying of the Messenger (peace and blessings be upon him) in the hadith with us, the hadith of Asma' bint Abi Bakr (may Allah be pleased with them both) regarding menstrual blood that falls on the garment underneath, then she pinches it with water, then sprinkles it, then prays in it. As for istihadah (irregular non-menstrual bleeding), its causes are very numerous and can be limited to two main groups. The first group: the cause in this case is a disorder in the hormones that control menstruation, and the blood descending in this state originates from the same source as menstrual blood. Perhaps a woman cannot distinguish between it and menstrual blood in a valid way. I did not find anything indicating a difference between it and menstrual blood regarding the issue of clotting, because the origin is the same and the difference is the same. The clear difference is that its duration is prolonged, perhaps for more than a month, or that it recurs several times in one month. An example of this is what may happen to women who take contraceptive pills to stop menstruation and then experience istihadah afterwards. As for the second group, its examples are numerous, including benign or malignant diseases of the uterus, including inflammations or ulcers of the cervix, including high blood pressure or increased blood fluidity. The blood descending in these states has no relation to menstruation and its origin is other than the origin of menstruation, so it is blood from a vessel, as mentioned by the jurists (may Allah have mercy on them), and we can say" ..

The Shaykh : As it came in the hadith, the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said:
That is only blood from a vessel إنّما ذلك دم عرق
, yes.
The student: "So it is blood from a vessel, as it came in the hadith, and we can say that it coagulates outside the uterus, unlike menstrual blood. Based on this, we cannot consider the issue of blood clotting as a condition that can be relied upon to distinguish between menstrual blood and istihadah absolutely. Rather, one should pay attention to the details mentioned. This is what I have come across. If it is correct, it is from Allah and by His guidance; if it is wrong, it is from me"
And Allah the Exalted knows best, and may Allah send blessings and peace upon our Prophet Muhammad. Rishad...

The Shaykh : May Allah bless you, but you are saying it is not a condition.
The student: Meaning it is not relied upon...

The Shaykh : Even this one who says...
The student: ...

The Shaykh : That this becomes istihadah and you find...
The student: ...it may solidify with a weak solidification due to factors other than clotting factors.

The Shaykh : ...
