The Ruling on Offering the Recitation of the Qur'an to the Deceased

Machine translationRead the Arabic original
Question:
This questioner asks: What is the ruling on reciting the Qur'an for the deceased for a fee?

Answer:
The Qur'an is not recited for the dead; it is recited for the dying person before he dies. If one recites to him, or recites something from the Qur'an to him to comfort him and to remind him of Allah, that is all good. As for the dead, it is not recited for them. Once he dies, it is over; his deeds are cut off except for three: a continuous charity, knowledge that benefits people, or a righteous child who prays for him. Yes.

The presenter: May Allah preserve you.
