What is the Sunnah regarding the time and number of recitations for the dhikr of tahlil?

Question:
Your Eminence, in your book "Tuhfat al-Akhyar," you mentioned that it is prescribed for every Muslim to say every morning: "There is no god but Allah alone, with no partner. His is the dominion, and His is the praise, and He is over all things competent," one hundred times a day.
The question is: Is it permissible to say it more than one hundred times? And is it permissible to say this dhikr in the evening as well?

Answer:
Yes, it is prescribed to increase in the remembrance of Allah at all times, even thousands of times. But what we mentioned was said by the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him). The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said:
Whoever says one hundred times in a day: "There is no god but Allah alone, with no partner. His is the dominion, and His is the praise, and He is over all things competent," it is equivalent to freeing ten slaves—meaning: equivalent to freeing ten slaves—and Allah writes for him one hundred good deeds, and removes from him one hundred bad deeds, and he is protected from Shaytan for that day until evening. And no one comes with anything better than what he brought, except a man who does more work than his work.
It was narrated by the two Shaykhs: al-Bukhari and Muslim in "al-Sahihayn."
This is a great hadith. If he says it at the beginning of the day, it is more complete, so that he is protected from Shaytan for that day until evening. If he says it in the late morning, at Dhuhr, at Asr, or at night, it is all good. Even if he says it thousands of times, it is all good. Allah says:
[Al-Jumu'ah: 10]. And He says, Exalted is He:
(41) O you who have believed, remember Allah with much remembrance (42) And exalt Him morning and afternoon.
[Al-Ahzab: 42]. And He says, Glorious and Majestic is He:
Indeed, the Muslim men and Muslim women, the believing men and believing women
[Al-Ahzab 33:35]
until He says, Exalted is He:
and the men who remember Allah often and the women who do so - for them Allah has prepared forgiveness and a great reward.
[Al-Ahzab: 35]. So the remembrance has a great status.
