What is the ruling on one who says: "It is upon my honor"?

Machine translationRead the Arabic original
Question:
What is the ruling on one who says: "It is upon my honor"?

Answer:
I know of nothing regarding it. It is not an oath; this is not an oath. Rather, it is a custom among people to emphasize, as if one were to say: "A trust is upon my honor," or: "A confirmed debt is upon my honor, and I will fulfill it." It is a type of commitment.
Q: What if he intended it as an oath?
The Shaykh: An oath is not made with "in" (fi). An oath is made with the letter waw, taa, baa, and hamza. As for "in my honor" (fi dhimmatī), it is not an oath.
