What is the meaning of: “The Hour will not come until a man speaks to his thigh”?

Machine translationRead the Arabic original
Question:
Our sister asks and says: I heard a noble hadith whose meaning is: that a time will come when the tip of the whip speaks to its owner, and the tip of his whip speaks to him and informs him of what his family did in his absence. What is the meaning of the tip of the whip? I hope you will detail and explain the hadith.

Answer:
Yes, this hadith came with a good chain of narration, narrated by al-Tirmidhi and others:
That the Hour will not come until a man speaks to his thigh about what his family did, and until the tip of his whip speaks to him about what his family didأنه لا تقوم الساعة حتى يكلم الرجل فخذه بما صنعه أهله، وحتى تكلم الرجل عذبة سوطه بما صنعه أهله
.
And
The tip of the whipعذبة السوط
: the tip of the whip.
And the meaning is: that in the end times, something will be placed in the whip or the stick or something similar, which results in the preservation of the family’s speech; this is like the recorders that have appeared now, which are of this category. It may be placed in the whip, it may be placed in the stick, it may be placed in something like a small clock in the house, or a person may place it in his armpit; thus, everything is preserved.

The presenter: Or in the pens.

The Shaykh: All of this is a reality. So if the recorder is placed in a location in the house with his family, and around his family; it records everything they say.
As for the thigh, the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) informed about it, and it will happen; we have not heard of it now, but in the end times, what the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) informed about will happen. Yes.

The presenter: So is this one of the prophetic miracles of our master Muhammad (peace and blessings be upon him)?

The Shaykh: Yes; because he informed about them before they happened, and they happened exactly as he had informed, and this is what indicates that Allah revealed to him from the sky and informed him; because he does not know the unseen, and he only informs with what Allah informed him with, as Allah the Exalted said:
(1) By the star when it descends, (2) Your companion [Muhammad] has not strayed, nor has he erred, (3) Nor does he speak from [his own] inclination. (4) It is not but a revelation revealed,وَالنَّجْمِ إِذَا هَوَى ۝ مَا ضَلَّ صَاحِبُكُمْ وَمَا غَوَى ۝ وَمَا يَنْطِقُ عَنِ الْهَوَى ۝ إِنْ هُوَ إِلَّا وَحْيٌ يُوحَى
[Surat al-Najm: 1-4] So His saying:
Your companion [Muhammad] has not strayedمَا ضَلَّ صَاحِبُكُمْ
[An-Najm 53:2]
means: Muhammad (peace and blessings be upon him),
Nor is he a deviatorوَمَا غَوَى
: meaning: he is not a misleader who is ignorant, and not a deviator who acts contrary to knowledge, but rather he is a guided, believing, discerning one, knowledgeable about what Allah revealed to him (peace and blessings be upon him),
Nor does he speak from [his own] inclination.وَمَا يَنْطِقُ عَنِ الْهَوَى
[An-Najm 53:3]
: he is not one who speaks according to his desire and appetite without knowledge or guidance, but rather he only speaks according to knowledge and revelation from Allah (Glorified and Exalted is He) which Allah revealed to him (peace and blessings be upon him). Yes.

The presenter: Your Eminence, I believe I read the hadith incorrectly, and it is a hadith of importance. Would you please repeat it?

The Shaykh: The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said:
The Hour will not come until a man speaks to his thigh about what his family did, and until the tip of his whip speaks to him about what his family didلا تقوم الساعة حتى يكلم الرجل فخذه بما صنعه أهله، وحتى تكلم الرجل عذبة سوطه بما صنعه أهله
The whip: it is used for the stick, and it is used for what is twisted from something of leather straps or others, it is called a whip; because things are whipped with it, and things are driven with it. Yes.

The presenter: May Allah reward you with good, and may He benefit us with your knowledge.
