Ruling on Accepting Gifts from Students

Machine translationRead the Arabic original
Question:
Our sister asks: Is it permissible for a female teacher to accept gifts from her female students? If it is not permissible for her to do so, is it permissible to accept them after the end of the school year and the delivery of results? And if that is also not permissible, is it permissible for her to accept them from the students after her period of teaching at that school has ended, if she intends to move from this school to another?

Answer:
What the female teacher should do is refrain from accepting gifts; because they may lead her to injustice, to not being sincere in the rights of those who did not give gifts, to giving more to those who did give gifts, and to deception. The safest course for the believing woman in this matter is not to accept gifts from the students at all; because that may lead to consequences that are not praiseworthy. The believer takes precautions for his religion and stays away from the causes of suspicion and danger.
As for after she moves from the school to another school, that does not harm; because the suspicion has ended at that time and the danger is safe. Likewise, after she is dismissed from the job, if they give her something, there is nothing wrong with it. Yes.

The presenter: May Allah reward you with good, and may He do you good.
