The ruling on saying: "It was a coincidence" or "It was good luck"

Machine translationRead the Arabic original
Question:
Our sister asks and says: Is it permissible to say "It was a coincidence" or "It was good luck," or is it not?

Answer:
I am not aware of any issue with it if one happens to meet a brother of his in Allah without an appointment, on the road or with some of the brothers, and he says, "I met so-and-so by chance," meaning without an appointment. There is nothing wrong with this.
Or if he says, "It was good luck," or "It was good," or "It was Allah's guidance that I met so-and-so," or "I greeted so-and-so," or "I performed tawaf around the Ancient House," or "I prayed the Dhuha prayer," or "I enjoined what is right," or "I forbade what is wrong," or similar words, there is nothing wrong with that. This is part of his good fortune, as Allah the Exalted said regarding the patient who fear Allah:
But none is granted it except those who are patient, and none is granted it except one having a great portion [of good].وَمَا يُلَقَّاهَا إِلَّا الَّذِينَ صَبَرُوا وَمَا يُلَقَّاهَا إِلَّا ذُو حَظٍّ عَظِيمٍ
[Surah Fussilat: 35]. So if Allah grants a person steadfastness, or if Allah makes easy for him what he loves, then that is the good luck that Allah makes easy for him.
And if he meets a brother of his without an appointment and says, "I met him by chance," or "I met that group by chance," there is nothing wrong with that, meaning without an appointment. Yes.

The presenter: Praise be to Allah. May Allah reward you with good.
