The Ruling on Laughing in Prayer

Machine translationRead the Arabic original
Question:
He asks Your Eminence about the ruling on laughing in prayer, and whether one who laughs in prayer has to repeat it?

Answer:
Laughing in prayer invalidates it by the consensus of the scholars. If one laughs in prayer, it is invalid, and likewise if he speaks intentionally; his prayer is invalid, except if he is ignorant or forgetful. In that case, the prayer is not invalidated by the speech of the forgetful person or the speech of the ignorant person. But laughing invalidates it because it is playing with it and mocking it. May Allah protect us from that.

The presenter: O Allah, amen. May Allah reward you with good.
