The period permitted by the Shari'ah for separating from one's wife for work

Machine translationRead the Arabic original
Question:
He says: What is the period permitted by the Shari'ah when separating from one's wife if she goes to work? If the specified period is prolonged, does one fall into sin?

Answer:
It is obligatory for you to treat her with kindness. Allah says:
And live with them in kindnessوَعَاشِرُوهُنَّ بِالْمَعْرُوفِ
[Surat al-Nisa: 19]. If you are occupied with work such that you do not have intercourse with her or stay overnight with her, there is no blame on you. However, if you have a second wife, you must be just. As for being occupied away from her, there is no fixed limit if you are at work and occupied on some days; there is no blame on you. Yes.
