Is the supplication of qunut in witr established in the Sunnah?

Machine translationRead the Arabic original
Question:
Regarding the saying: "O Allah, guide me among those whom You have guided," did the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) perform qunut with this qunut?

Answer:
No, he did not perform qunut; rather, he would perform qunut by supplicating against a group, or for a group. As for this, the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) taught it to al-Hasan for qunut. Then, when he (peace and blessings be upon him) would supplicate while leading the prayer, he would not use the singular form; he would use the plural. When he supplicated for the Muslims, he would use the plural. He would only say, "Guide me, and forgive me," when he was alone, (peace and blessings be upon him). And when he was in his prayer, supplicating for himself between himself and his Lord, just as he says in prostration: "O Allah, forgive me all my sins, the small and the large." As for the general supplication in sermons and qunut, this is comprehensive: "O Allah, forgive us, O Allah, have mercy on us, O Allah, save us, O Allah, help us," and the like.
