What is the ruling on taking contraceptive pills?

Machine translationRead the Arabic original
Question:
Is taking some contraceptive pills to be judged by the ruling on coitus interruptus?

Answer:
No, there is a distinction. It is among the causes, and there is a distinction:
If there is a need for it, there is nothing wrong with it: whether it is her illness, or an illness of her womb, or a danger to her, or the succession of children upon her such that she cannot manage their upbringing. Then she takes some pills for a period of time, provided there is no harm in them, and if the doctors determine that there is no harm in them, and the husband agrees.
And just as the causes do not prevent, the pills do not prevent, if Allah wills something, it is accomplished.
