Causes and Methods of Gaining Knowledge of the Religion of Allah

What is the method for gaining knowledge of the religion? Is it sufficient to read books and listen to religious radio broadcasts, or is it necessary to enroll in institutes? Please answer us. May Allah reward you with good.

Gaining knowledge of the religion occurs through various types, causes, and methods. Gaining knowledge of the religion means gaining knowledge of the Book of Allah and the Sunnah of His Messenger (peace and blessings be upon him), so that you know what Allah has made obligatory for you, what He has forbidden for you, and what He has permitted for you, so that you are well-informed in your religion from the Book of Allah and the Sunnah of His Messenger. This can be in your home with a knowledgeable shaykh, or in his home, or in the mosque, or in a school, or on a mountain, or under a tree, in any place.
Gaining knowledge of the religion of Allah, as intended here, means gaining knowledge of the Book and the Sunnah in any place, and from any scholar who is known for the truth and is among the people of knowledge, religion, and faith.
