The phenomenon of students sent abroad divorcing their wives after their return

Machine translationRead the Arabic original
The questioner: Also, in his letter, Shalwi Muhammad Ali says in his letter: He observes that many of the students sent abroad, when they return to their countries after their sponsorship, many of them divorce their wives. What explains this, may Allah guide you?
The answer: This is something I have only just heard. It is possible that the secret behind this is that he loses interest in her after seeing the disbelieving women, and after associating with the prostitutes there, may Allah protect us from that. It may appear to him that his wife, compared to those prostitutes, is not suitable for him, and that they are more beautiful than her, or more attractive than her, or more knowledgeable than her, or something similar. This may be one of the reasons. It may also be one of the reasons that she disagrees with him on some matters that contradict the religion, and she advises him and wants what is good for him, and she is better in religion than he is. So when he comes back, he hates her because she is better than him, and because she rebukes him for some of his bad deeds. He may also fear that she will reveal his private matters and his bad deeds. This is possible. This and that are possible: that he may divorce her out of losing interest in her because he saw someone more beautiful than her and associated with someone more beautiful than her among the prostitutes. Or he may have divorced her because she disagrees with his corrupt opinions, and because she rebukes him for his bad deeds. So for this reason, he hates her and loses interest in her because of his open sinfulness and her piety and uprightness. This is a possibility, and this is a possibility.
The presenter: Thank you, Your Eminence.
