The ruling on nodding the head to indicate yes or no during prayer

Machine translationRead the Arabic original
The first message in this episode is from Shaykh 'Abd al-'Aziz. A message was sent to the program from Riyadh by one of the brothers, identified as (M. S. J). Our brother asks: What is the ruling on one who responds to a questioner by nodding his head to indicate yes or no while he is in prayer? For example, if a questioner is in a hurry to get an answer from me while I am in prayer, and he asks, for instance, "Should I wait for you?" and I respond to him by nodding my head to say yes, does this invalidate the prayer?
Answer: In the name of Allah, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful. Praise be to Allah, Lord of the worlds, and the final outcome belongs to the righteous. May peace and blessings be upon His servant and Messenger, His choice from among His creation, and His trustee over His revelation, our Prophet, our Imam, and our Master Muhammad ibn 'Abd Allah, and upon his family and his Companions, and whoever follows his path and is guided by his guidance until the Day of Judgment.
As for what follows: Gesturing during prayer is permissible, there is no blame in it, and it does not invalidate the prayer. The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) did it, and he is the master of creation and their teacher. His Companions (may Allah be pleased with them and grant them satisfaction) also did it. So there is no blame in that. If a questioner asks you, "Should I wait?" while you are in prayer, and you nod your head to indicate yes, there is nothing wrong with it. Or if a questioner asks you about one of the rulings and you gesture to indicate yes or no, all of that is permissible. The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) did it, and he would respond with gestures, may peace and blessings be upon him. Yes.
