What is the meaning of: {And that we touched the sky}, and what is the reality of the jinn touching the sky?

Machine translationRead the Arabic original
Our brother is asking another question about the interpretation of the saying of Allah the Exalted—I seek refuge in Allah from the accursed Shaytan—:
And we have sought [to reach] the heaven but found it filled with powerful guards and burning flames.وَأَنَّا لَمَسْنَا السَّمَاءَ فَوَجَدْنَاهَا مُلِئَتْ حَرَسًا شَدِيدًا وَشُهُبًا
[Al-Jinn:8] Did the jinn truly touch the sky or not?
Answer: The Qur'an is the most truthful speech; it is the speech of Allah, Mighty and Majestic. The default in speech is that it is literal; this is the default. And Allah, Glorified and Exalted is He, informed us that they said:
And we have sought [to reach] the heaven but found it filled with powerful guards and burning flames.وَأَنَّا لَمَسْنَا السَّمَاءَ فَوَجَدْنَاهَا مُلِئَتْ حَرَسًا شَدِيدًا وَشُهُبًا
[Al-Jinn:8] He did not respond to them, nor did He say: "They lied." This indicates that they touched it, ascended, and rose until they touched the sky. For they eavesdrop on the hearing, and some of them ride upon others by the permission of Allah, who empowered them to do this, Glorified and Exalted is He. Therefore, He informed us about them as He did, informing us that they said:
And we have sought [to reach] the heaven but found it filled with powerful guards and burning flames.وَأَنَّا لَمَسْنَا السَّمَاءَ فَوَجَدْنَاهَا مُلِئَتْ حَرَسًا شَدِيدًا وَشُهُبًا
[Al-Jinn:8] The matter is literal, and this indicates the possibility of it, and that it is possible to touch the sky. However, it is not possible to enter it except by the permission of Allah . Therefore, when the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) was raised to the sky, he did not enter it except by permission, and with him was Jibril (peace be upon him). Jibril asked for permission, and the guards granted it to him. So Jibril entered, and the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) entered every sky by permission. Yes.
