Ruling on Reciting the Qur'an in a Loud Voice on Friday

Machine translationRead the Arabic original
Regarding this occasion, there is a practice in some Islamic countries on Friday where a person stands in a high place and recites the Qur'an with tajwid, while the others listen to him and do not recite. Is this a recommended practice or not?
Answer: We are not aware of any basis for this. This is closer to religious innovation. I say: this is closer to religious innovation. I say this is not prescribed, to the best of our knowledge, because this prevents people from reciting. Some people may want to recite, or some may want to pray, and it disturbs them if they enter to pray two rak'ahs or more. Therefore, it is better for each person to recite for himself. However, if they are gathered in a specific place, as the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) used to recite to them and they listened to him, there is no harm. Or if it is a limited group in the mosque who wish to listen to him until the imam enters, there is no harm. But for one person to stand on the minbar and recite to the people, this has no basis and is not appropriate.
Or even if not on the minbar... if he recites loudly in a way that harms others and disturbs the entering worshippers and the reciters, all of this is not permissible, and we are not aware of any basis for it. Yes.
