Etiquette of the Wedding

Machine translationRead the Arabic original
Our brother also asks and says: What is the ruling in the religion regarding reciting the Noble Qur'an on the wedding night, and what are the Shariah etiquettes and the Prophetic Sunnah followed in spending the wedding night?
Answer: I do not know of anything clear in this matter. It is narrated from some of the Salaf that he would pray two rak'ahs when he entered upon his wife before having relations with her, but I do not know of a sound hadith to rely upon regarding this. If he prays, there is no harm, following the example of some of the Salaf who would pray two rak'ahs and supplicate to Allah, asking that Allah unite his affairs with her for good, and that He make her a helper for him in His obedience and bless him in her. This is permissible and is good, if Allah wills. Also, it is recommended for him, as came in the hadith:
I seek refuge with You from the evil within her and the evil that You have made her inclined towardsإذا أخذ بناصيتها يقول: اللهم إني أسألك خيرها وخير ما جبلتها عليه، وأعوذ بك من شرها وشر ما جبلتها عليه
Sunan Ibn Majah 2252Hasan (Darussalam)
This came in the hadith when one acquires a new... animal, or marries a woman, and he said, "This is to be hoped for good in, if Allah wills." It is a good supplication
Allahumma inni as'aluka khairaha wa khaira ma jabaltaha alaihi, wa a'udhu bika min sharriha wa sharri ma jabaltaha alaihi (O Allah, I ask You for the goodness within her and the goodness that You have made her inclined towards, and I seek refuge with You from the evil within her and the evil that You have made her inclined towards)اللهم إني أسألك خيرها وخير ما جبلتها عليه، وأعوذ بك من شرها وشر ما جبلتها عليه
Sunan Ibn Majah 2252Hasan (Darussalam)
. Yes.
The presenter: May Allah reward you.
