Q 10: Is there any religious ruling regarding a husband having intercourse with his wife after the marriage contract but before announcing the wedding to the people, since custom opposes this?
A 10: There is nothing wrong, from a religious perspective, with a husband having intercourse with his wife after the marriage contract and before the wedding. However, if he fears that negative consequences will result from it, he should refrain from it; because preventing harm takes precedence over seeking benefit. And success is from Allah, and may Allah send prayers and blessings upon our Prophet Muhammad, his family, and his Companions.
