Is it permissible for me to sell food items to those who do not fast, such as Christians or Druze, during the daytime of Ramadan?

Machine translationRead the Arabic original
The Shaykh : Welcome.

The questioner : May Allah strengthen you.

The Shaykh : May Allah preserve you.

The questioner : I would like to ask you a question that has been on my mind for a while.

The Shaykh : Good, if Allah wills.

The questioner : But I have not been able to ask you about it until now.

The Shaykh : Come on, before the caravan leaves.

The questioner : All right, my Shaykh. My Shaykh, I am the owner of a shop. You know, there are people who do not fast, and there are Christians and Druze who come after the midday prayer and after the afternoon prayer.

The Shaykh : What kind of shop do you have?

The questioner : A grocery store, I mean. I sell food items. They come, for example, wanting to buy, and they say, "I am Druze" or "I am Christian," and I do not fast. Is it permissible to sell to them or not?

The Shaykh : If you are selling them ready-to-eat food such that it is most likely in your opinion that they will eat it, then it is not permissible. But if you are selling them rice, sugar, salt, and so on.

The questioner : Things that are not ready to eat.

The Shaykh : Yes, there is no harm in that.
