The Ruling on Repeating 'Umrah in Ramadan

Machine translationRead the Arabic original
A Sudanese brother, also a resident of the Kingdom, says: (A. A. H). Our brother is asking about 'Umrah in Ramadan and says: I observe that many people are keen to perform 'Umrah in Ramadan, and some repeat it in this noble month, especially in the last ten days. Please tell us, if you would be so kind, about the permissibility of this act and about repeating 'Umrah for an individual, especially in the last ten days as I mentioned?
Answer: The reason for this is that it is authentically reported from the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) that he said:
Umrah during Ramadan is equal to Hajjعمرة في رمضان تعدل حجة
Jami` at-Tirmidhi 939Sahih (Darussalam)
, and in the other narration:
Equivalent to a Hajj with meتعدل حجة معي
meaning: with him (peace and blessings be upon him). Therefore, Muslims compete in this and strive to perform 'Umrah in Ramadan, desiring this great reward. If he repeats it in Ramadan two or three times, there is no harm because of this great good. However, he should be mindful not to cause hardship for people. If it is during a crowded time, such as some of the nights of the last ten days, then the closest and most apparent view to me is to leave that, so as to make room for people, as long as he has already performed 'Umrah at the beginning of the month, praise be to Allah; so that there is no crowding in his 'Umrah and that of others like him, causing inconvenience to people who have not performed 'Umrah at the beginning of the month.
So the conclusion is that the believer should consider the situation of his brothers who are performing 'Umrah in the last ten days. If it is a time when there is severe crowding, he should make room for them and be content with the previous 'Umrah he performed at the beginning of the month or during it, praise be to Allah. Yes.
The presenter: May Allah reward you.
