He saw a woman being punished in the Fire for a cat she had confined, which she did not feed, did not give water to, and did not allow to eat from the insects of the earth until it died of hunger. He saw her being punished in the Fire when the Fire was shown to him. He saw a man being punished in the Fire who used to steal from people with his crook, the crook, like a fork. He would pass by the pilgrims who were asking for alms, and if he caught them off guard, he would take some of their belongings with this fork. And when they noticed him, he would say: "It got caught on my crook; I did not intend it or aim for it." So he saw him being punished with his crook in the Fire. He saw people being punished for fornication, men and women. He saw people being punished who had nails of brass with which they scratched their faces and chests.
