Some people say at the end of the gathering and after the closing supplication

Machine translationRead the Arabic original
The questioner : Some people say at the end of the gathering and after the closing supplication:
(180) Exalted is your Lord, the Lord of might, above what they describe. (181) And peace upon the messengers. (182) And praise to Allah, Lord of the worlds. سبحان ربك رب العزة عما يصفون وسلام على المرسلين والحمد لله رب العالمين
[As-Saffat 37:180-182]
, and also Surat al-Asr. Is this a recommended practice (sunnah) or a religious innovation (bid'ah)?

The Shaykh : This is not a recommended practice (sunnah). The recommended practice (sunnah) at the end of the gathering is:
Glory be to Thee. O Allah, and I begin with praise of Thee, I testify that there is no god but Thou; I ask Thy pardon, and return to Thee in repentance. سبحانك اللهم ربنا وبحمدك أشهد أن لا إله إلا أنت أستغفرك وأتوب إليك
Sunan Abi Dawud 4859Hasan Sahih (Al-Albani)
. As for what is reported from some of the Companions: "that they do not disperse until some of them recite Surat al-Asr to others", this may have occurred from some of them, but I do not know it from the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him).
