[Az-Zukhruf 43:84]

الرَّحْمَنُ عَلَى الْعَرْشِ اسْتَوَى

[Ta-Ha:5]
And He said, Glorified is He:

Indeed, your Lord is Allah, who created the heavens and earth in six days and then established Himself above the Throne

إِنَّ رَبَّكُمُ اللَّهُ الَّذِي خَلَقَ السَّمَاوَاتِ وَالْأَرْضَ فِي سِتَّةِ أَيَّامٍ ثُمَّ اسْتَوَى عَلَى الْعَرْشِ

[Al-A'raf:54] And He said :

Do you feel secure that He who [holds authority] in the heaven would not cause the earth to swallow you

أَأَمِنْتُمْ مَنْ فِي السَّمَاءِ أَنْ يَخْسِفَ بِكُمُ الْأَرْضَ

[Al-Mulk:16] He said:

Rather, Allah raised him to Himself

بَلْ رَفَعَهُ اللَّهُ إِلَيْهِ

[An-Nisa:158] O

Jesus, indeed I will take you and raise you to Myself

عِيسَى إِنِّي مُتَوَفِّيكَ وَرَافِعُكَ إِلَيَّ

[Al-Imran:55].
So He, Glorified is He, is above the sky, above the Throne -Exalted and Majestic is He- and not in the earth, but He is above all creation . This is what the people of the Sunnah and the community, from the Companions of the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) and those who followed them with excellence, are upon, and it is what all the messengers -may the prayers and peace of Allah be upon them- came with: that Allah is above the sky, above the Throne, in the height, in the direction of the height -Exalted and Majestic is He-, and His knowledge is in every place . Nothing is hidden from Him . And all the deeds of the servants ascend to Him, whether they are righteous or not; if they are not righteous, they are returned to their owners, and there is no power or strength except with Allah.
As for His saying -Exalted and Majestic is He-:

And it is Allah who is [the only] deity in the heaven, and on the earth [the only] deity

وَهُوَ الَّذِي فِي السَّمَاءِ إِلَهٌ وَفِي الْأَرْضِ إِلَهٌ

[Az-Zukhruf:84], its meaning is that He is the God of the people of the sky and the God of the people of the earth. And so is His saying, Glorified is He:

And He is Allah, [the only deity] in the heavens and the earth. He knows your secret and what you make public

وَهُوَ اللَّهُ فِي السَّمَاوَاتِ وَفِي الْأَرْضِ يَعْلَمُ سِرَّكُمْ وَجَهْرَكُمْ

[Al-An'am:3], meaning He is the God of the people of the sky and the God of the people of the earth, meaning they worship Him alone . So He is the God of all: the God of the people of the sky and the God of the people of the earth. And even though He is above the Throne -Exalted and Majestic is He-, the angels worship Him in the sky, and the believers worship Him on the earth wherever they are, so He is their God, and He is above them, Glorified is He, above all creation .
