How to Dispose of a Silver Bracelet That Is Not Worn or Sold

Machine translationRead the Arabic original
Question:
I have an old-style silver bracelet that is worn on the wrist. It has been kept in our house for thirteen years without anyone wearing it, because my grandmother bequeathed it to her granddaughter, but she did not pay its zakah during this period. Now I want to sell it, but no one in the markets has taken it from me. What do you advise me to do, as I am at a loss with it; it is neither worn nor sold?

Answer:
If this piece reaches the nisab, and the nisab is one hundred and forty mithqals of silver, which is fifty-six Saudi silver riyals, if this piece reaches this nisab, reaching one hundred and forty mithqals according to the goldsmiths who know the mithqal, then zakah is due on it for the period it remained with her, which is a quarter of a tenth, two and a half percent, two and a half riyals.
As for if it does not reach this, and she has no other money to add to it so that it becomes a nisab, then nothing is due on it, and she may dispose of this piece as she wishes, making it into rings, having it crafted into rings, or crafting it into other jewelry; the goldsmiths know how to do this.

Question: What if the zakah consumes it all, meaning for the past period?

Answer: It does not consume it all.
