The ruling on being away from one's family for more than six months

Machine translationRead the Arabic original
Question:
I tried to bring my family over to me without success, as I am not permitted to be away from them for more than six months religiously. So I tried to go down to visit them, but my sponsor refused to let me go. Am I sinful for being away from them like this?

Answer:
You owe nothing, if Allah wills, as long as you are seeking provision and lawful earnings, and striving to bring them good. You are on the right path, if Allah wills.
And if you are able to visit them from time to time, even if it is less than six months and then you return, that would be better and more preferable. Six months is a long time in this era. If it is possible for you to visit them every three or four months and then return to your work, that is better and safer.
