The Obligation of Calling People to Allah

Machine translationRead the Arabic original
Question:
If the primary duty of every Muslim is to call people to Allah the Exalted, following the example of the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) and his Companions, what is your advice regarding supporting and assisting the Da'wah al-Muhtasibah group? Because if we neglect this call, it will be at the expense of the activity of the missionaries and the callers to falsehood, and it will be a cause for the anger of Allah and the descent of calamities and misfortunes?

Answer:
It has been stated in this place more than once that it is obligatory for scholars to cooperate in this matter, and that it is obligatory for every scholar, and everyone who has knowledge, to call people to Allah and to spread the religion, and to be patient in doing so, even without a wage, and even without a reward. The reward is with Allah . The Companions (may Allah be pleased with them and grant them satisfaction) used to call people to Allah without a reward, and so did the Messengers (peace and blessings be upon them), who called people to Allah without a wage
Say, "I do not ask you for any reward for it."قُلْ لَا أَسْأَلُكُمْ عَلَيْهِ أَجْرًا
[Al-An'am: 90],
My reward is only from Allahإِنْ أَجْرِيَ إِلَّا عَلَى اللَّهِ
[Saba: 47].
Thus, scholars and people of good must call people to Allah in any place, according to the knowledge they possess, support the truth, and assist their brother callers in every place; so that the truth is supported, so that the word is united, so that the ignorant learns, and so that the misguided is guided. As for negligence, this is not from the religion; rather, it is what Satan beautifies and to what Satan calls. Therefore, it is not permissible for scholars to be negligent in calling people to Allah.
They must call people to Allah in every place, whether they are judges or teachers, or neither judges nor teachers, but they have knowledge. They must exert their utmost effort according to their capacity
So fear Allah as much as you are ableفَاتَّقُوا اللَّهَ مَا اسْتَطَعْتُمْ
[Al-Taghabun: 16] in their lands and in lands other than their own, with their brother callers, encouraging them, supporting them, consulting with them, and discussing with them everything that may be hidden; so that the call is united and cooperative, with cooperation, support, and consultation. And if one of them makes a mistake, the other alerts him and consults with him; so that the estrangement is removed, so that cooperation is achieved, and so that the mistakes are corrected and removed. This is the obligation upon scholars.
