Answer:
This is an authentic hadith, narrated by the two Shaykhs in the two Sahihs. They said, “O Messenger of Allah, explain our religion to us as if we had just been created now?” He said (peace and blessings be upon him):
There is none of you but has his place assigned either in the Fire or in Paradise.
Sahih al-Bukhari 6605
They said, “O Messenger of Allah, should we not then rely on our record and leave off work?” Work, for everyone is facilitated for what he was created for. As for the people of happiness, they are facilitated for the work of the people of happiness, and as for the people of misery, they are facilitated for the work of the people of misery. Then he recited His saying, the Exalted: “But as for he who gives and fears Allah, and believes in the best, We will facilitate him for ease. But as for he who is stingy and considers himself self-sufficient, and denies the best, We will facilitate him for hardship” [Al-Layl:5-10] It was narrated by al-Bukhari, and it is in the two Sahihs from the hadith of 'Ali (may Allah be pleased with him), and there are many hadiths in this meaning.
