And we say to the sinner who argues with divine decree: Why did you not proceed to obedience, presuming that Allah the Exalted has decreed it for you?

Machine translationRead the Arabic original
The Shaykh :"And we say to the sinner who argues with divine decree: Why did you not proceed to obedience, presuming that Allah the Exalted has decreed it for you". Just as you proceeded to disobedience presuming that Allah has decreed it for you, since there is no difference between this and that; all of it is unknown to the sinner. He does not know that Allah has decreed good or evil for him until it occurs. So we say: Why, when you intended disobedience, did you not presume that Allah had decreed obedience for you so that you would perform it? Since there is no difference between it and disobedience in terms of ignorance of the decreed before the action issues from you. So his argument is invalid, or not? It is invalid, without doubt. And we say: If you presume that a bad deed has been written for you, you have thought ill of Allah, and you have seen yourself as not worthy of worship. Why did you not presume that Allah has written you among the righteous so that you would fear Allah? You are now presuming that Allah has written you among the evil-doing sinners, and this is no argument for you. Therefore, when the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) informed the Companions
That each person’s place in Paradise and his place in the Fire has been written, they said: Shall we then rely on that and leave off doing deeds? He said: No, work, for each one is facilitated for that for which he was created
. This Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) was one day burying his daughter at the edge of the grave, so he said:
There is none of you but has his place written for him in Paradise or in the Hell- Fire.
Sahih al-Bukhari 4945
written in the knowledge of Allah.
They (the people) said, "Allah's Messenger (ﷺ)! Shall we depend on this (and leave work)?"
Sahih al-Bukhari 4946
Since the wretched one has been written as wretched and the happy one has been written as happy, shall we not rely on that? He said:
No. لا
Then he mentioned the phrase: if the most eloquent of orators had gathered to express something like it in brevity and satisfaction, they would not have been able to. He said:
Work, for everyone is facilitated for what he was created.
Jami` at-Tirmidhi 2136
Work, my brother, and if you work, you are facilitated for that for which you were created. Do not rely on the record. Then he recited:
But as for he who gives and fears
And this is an action, is it voluntary or coerced? Voluntary
So as for he who gives and fears Allah and believes in the good, We will make easy for him the easy
clear. So if you see that Allah (Glorified and Exalted is He) has bestowed upon you giving and piety, giving is the action of the commanded, because it involves effort in the action, so it is the offering of the self, and you avoided the sins, and you believed in the good news, this belief in the reports, so he combined between the action and the belief
We will make easy for him the easy
. I say: If you see that Allah has bestowed upon you the three descriptions: giving, piety, and belief, then rejoice that Allah will facilitate you for the easy path, as Allah said to His Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him and his family):
And We will make it easy for you to follow the easy path
.
Good.
(8) But as for he who withholds and considers himself free of need (9) And denies the best [reward],
[Al-Layl 92:8-9]
This is evidence.
