And [We brought forth] a tree issuing from Mount Sinai which produces oil and food for those who eat. وشجرة تخرج من طور سيناء تنبت بالدهن وصبغ للآكلين

What is this tree?

The Shaykh : This tree is the olive tree, the oil. It is blessed, and this oil, the fat, also comes out of it, serving as a dye for those who eat, meaning it is a condiment for them.
