The questioner : May Allah reward you with good. This is a questioner from Algeria who sent this question, recalling that she is irritable and anxious, unable to bear even the slightest matters, stating: "Perhaps I do not possess an atom's weight of patience," and that she complains frequently of illness, despite knowing that this is not in her interest and knowing that complaints should be made to Allah (Mighty and Majestic). What is your advice to us, O honorable Shaykh?

The Shaykh : My advice to her and those like her is to increase the remembrance of Allah (Mighty and Majestic), for hearts find tranquility in the remembrance of Allah. They should avoid illusions and fantasies, not despair of the spirit of Allah, and not lose hope in the mercy of Allah. They should strive to keep their hearts always open and to forget the misfortunes that befall them.
For all such matters are a cause for the removal of anxiety. Among the most important of these is also knowing that what befalls one is by the divine decree and destiny of Allah, and that Allah the Exalted has the right to do with His creation whatever He wills, for He (Mighty and Majestic) does nothing except for a great wisdom.
