Is the ruling regarding a foundling the same as the ruling regarding an orphan in terms of reward and recompense?

Question:
The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "I and the guardian of the orphan will be in Paradise like these two," is the ruling regarding a foundling the same as the ruling regarding an orphan in terms of reward and recompense?

Answer:
Answer: An orphan is one whose father has died. A foundling has no legal father; no legal father is known for him. However, one should treat him kindly and raise him because he is weak and because he is in need. One should treat him kindly and raise him with an Islamic upbringing, and protect him. He is among the poor, and he has the right to be treated kindly and provided for until he grows up.
